Sinopsis

Una mordaz sátira acerca del lugar que tiene las redes sociales en la vida moderna, esta comedia negra se centra en Fátima, una mujer en sus cuarentas, cuyos videos inofensivos conectan con un gran número de personas y la convierten en la influencer más popular de México. Al poco tiempo de que Fátima se vuelve viral, dos jóvenes estrellas de las redes sociales, Sofi y Cami, se dan cuenta de que pueden manipulan a Fátima para su beneficio. Pero entre más sigue Fátima sus consejos de adentrarse a las últimas tendencias, más violentos se vuelven sus “haters,” quienes se burlan de ella por buscar atención a su edad. Lo que no saben, es que Fátima es más de lo que ven en las pantallas de sus celulares.

Synopsis

A biting satire about the place of social media in modern life, this dark comedy centers Fátima, a middle-aged woman, whose harmless videos tap into the zeitgeist and turn her into Mexico’s most popular influencer. Soon after Fátima goes viral, two young social media stars, Sofi and Cami realize they can manipulate Fátima to their advantage. But the more Fátima follows their advice to follow the latest trends, the more her online persona gains virulent haters who mock her for craving attention at her age. What they don’t know, is that Fátima more than what they see on their cell phone screens.
