Raffi has been sober before. He has also been through five rehabilitation centers, spent seventeen years avoiding anything resembling an ordinary life, and arrived at thirty-nine with no home, no job, and very few people still answering his calls.
When his latest clinic throws him out, his return to his mother’s house lasts exactly two days. With nowhere else to go, Raffi moves in with Trino, the last friend who has not given up on him. Then he learns that Inés, his impossible high-school crush, is newly divorced. Suddenly, recovery has a goal: become employable, appear emotionally stable, and convince Inés that beneath the wreckage lives the extraordinary man Raffi has always believed himself to be.
